Clubhouse and Lapa
There's more to Microlight flying than just flying a Microlight. Social activities are very important and the atmosphere at Kolobe is very conducive to interaction between pilots and amenities are well suited for the whole family.

The Kolobe thatched Lapa enclosed by a reed Boma provides the ideal setting for the weary visitor. Bar and braai facilities are constructed in true Bushveld style and big Thorn trees finish off the picture perfectly.

The clubhouse boasts sleeping quarters for six pilots in bunk beds, while the living area can cater for up to six more. The clubhouse has a well equipped kitchen and dishes can be easily prepared in the electric oven.

A built in braai inside the clubhouse ensures that the elements never dampens the spirits and the Pool table and dart board will keep even the most fidgety pilot occupied.

The enclosed reed boma doubles as camping area and will accommodate around four three man tents. For the caravan enthusiast, Kolobe can accommodate up to three caravans next to the dam.

A large cement dam is used for swimming and rounds off the true farm atmosphere of Kolobe. It also doubles as a handy "dunking bath" for newly qualified pilots at their solo party.

Monthly breakfasts are held and pilots are welcome to fly in and enjoy our warm farm hospitality. (please phone beforehand to confirm)
